Brothers and Sisters,
It has become increasingly difficult to get certain claims paid without the exact information that Labor Relations wants on the ticket. Please try to help me and include the following information and details when filing these claims.
CC Claims:
Please include the following information for bad order toilets.
1. Exact location where you got on that train/locomotive.
2. Initials of who it was reported to, such as TM, YM, Diesel Tower, VTR, etc.
3. Always use the word "unsanitary" and explain how it was unsanitary. Examples would be human feces, urine, etc. If fluid is leaking (or on the floor), describe what's in that fluid. Finally, include how you were adversely affected by it. You can be graphic, but please be professional.
Please include the following information for refrigerators.
1. Make sure that you include the location and initials such as TM, YM, Diesel Tower, VTR.
Y2 Claims:
Please include as many details as possible on the claim and in the remarks. Examples may include:
1. Did not depart GSL after work was performed.
2. Relieved crew inside GSL, and that crew had more than 2 hours left to work.
If you have more information that you would like to add, please fill out a Statement Of Facts Sheet and put it in the Division 621 Box.
I am tired of the carrier nitpicking and denying these claims. Please explain in detail, and give as much information as you can. This will assist me getting these paid for you when I take them to Local Conference.
